Let me tell you how we got started. At first it was an Instagram that shared me and, my son, Liam hiking and picking up trash all over LA County. I was asked that question, "are you a group?"
I said, "I’m sure I’m not the only one hiking with their children," and so on I created Trailmothers. We had our first Kids Eco Hike in January 2017 which kicked off our hiking events geared towards children - teaching them to be leaders, to hike, to make new friends, and to also care for our environment. As our group grew, our status did too. In January 2020, we officially became a 501 (c)(3) Nonprofit Organization.
Now look at us! We are all walks of life and have grown into a full blown environmental organization where we concentrate on hosting stewardship events and restoration projects. We have a volunteer crew and we have a community. We've taken on the responsibility of restoring, revitalizing, and protecting our local crag - Stoney Point Park.
We will continue to grow. We will continue to Educate. We will continue to restore Stoney Point Park and all Public Parks, crags, and hiking locations that truly need our help.
Thank you to everyone for always believing in my visions, and for staying patient. To our partners, sponsors, and donors - thank you.
We are TRAILMOTHERS!
